A whole year has past...

An entire year has past since I have done my last post and since we got married! I am going to try my hardest to keep up with my blog, easier said than done... But I will try!

So it has been a little over a year since Anthony and I's wedding, hard to imagine that a year as gone by already, where does time go? So for our one year anniversary we went to Johnny's Hideaway for a nice dinner, Anthony had called ahead of time and spoke to the manager (we had issues the last time we went there and they said next time to call ahead so they know we wanted to come back) So at any rate we were VIP's! We got free wine and dessert and had the Cedar Plank Salmon which is the BEST! We have had it before and we just love it! We had an awesome evening! Below is a picture that we took after dinner.

Back on plan!

So long over due to be back on plan, when I say that I mean back on Weight Watchers... I have done it before, actually this time around is the third time...What do they say Third times a charm? SOOO...this week is going into week three and I am down 4.4 pounds. I have been waking up at 4am and hitting the gym. I feel great and so far so good! The hard part will come next week when I back on a group and my hours are not 9-5 they are like 6am - 7 or 8pm...and am I gonna want to go to the gym after a long day like that...probably not, BUT I will be!! Gotta do this!
For some reason this time is just different and I am very motivated to see results and feel awesome for myself!! I also like to find new recipes for dinner to cook that are yummy and low in points. Yes I will be adding some more recipes on Diva's Dishes, I am way overdue to add a post on their. I am gonna try to add tonight... key word TRY!

Wedding Cruise Vacation

So after our wonderful wedding ceremony and Luncheon Reception we headed on our Cruise Vacation, we had a total of 30 people sailing and everyone had an awesome time! The first night we went to the opening show in the theater area and then hit up the casino! When we woke up in the morning we were at Cocoa Cay! That is Royal Caribbeans private island. It was really nice and tropical, we had a full day there and had a great time! it was a little overcast, but for me it was perfect! That night was the "Love and Marriage" Game, of course Anthony and I were selected to play! It was crazy and fun! Then the next day we were in the Bahama's! We took a tour with a local taxi driver and that was like 3 hours long! Then we headed back to the boat and grabbed some lunch. After that we went to the beach and relaxed in the water for a few hours, had a banana boat ride back to the port! That was so much fun!! The next day was a day sailing at sea, it was just a relaxing day and we just hung out started packing. That night before dinner we had a Cocktail Reception for everyone that sailed with us, just to say Thank you for taking their vacation with us! Overall we had such an awesome time! We are so glad everyone cruised with us and are so glad we decided to do the wedding cruise!!

Wedding Day!!

Last week the day finally came!!! Wedding Day! What a wonderful day we had with great family and friends! We could not have asked for more, it was perfect! Thank you to all of those who traveled to come join us! We had a great time and hope you did as well!!

Bridal Shower Take 2!

Anthony and I went to NY to visit my family and to celebrate our niece's Abby and Becca's 7th Birthday! (I moved to Florida 4 months before they turned 1...I have NEVER been home for one of their birthdays!!) Well along with an awesome visit with family I was able to visit with my dear friend Karyn and her husband Rob and their adorable son Seth. (We went to a diner, which in Florida there are none... :) ) On Saturday was going to be "Girls Day" and "Boys Day" girls were going to go get lunch and shop a little and the guys went to play golf. We had to be at my sisters at 1pm to pick her up, so mom and I woke up early and took a ride to Windsor (My hometown) and went to visit Brian at Sky Lake (The summer camp I used to be a camper at and worked at for 7 years) and to see how beautiful as always it is up there...then we drove up to the lake where I grew up and just looked around. We stopped in the village at the farmers market and went to a little coffee shop and got a little bite to eat and a drink. Just having a good time visiting with mom and seeing the wonderful town I grew up in!! So we get back to Binghamton and get to my sisters house and when I walk in...Surprise!!! My sister threw me another shower...but I had NO clue! It was such a surprise I started crying!! It was great! To have everyone gathered together was so special since I am not home often. Such an awesome thing and I had a wonderful afternoon! (My sister has all the pictures from the shower...) I have included some pictures from the weekend!! How lucky am I to have a wonderful sister like I do?? The count down is on for the wedding...we are down to 13 days!!!

Bridal Shower Take 1

Back over Easter...I know it has been a while... my sister Amy and her husband Jim and the kids Abby, Becca and Gavin came down to Florida and while they were here Amy and Meleny threw me a Bridal Shower! It was so great to see all my friends and family all together to celebrate our upcoming wedding! The guys of course had a boys day...well Anthony had work, but Gavin and Jim went to the movies and Downtown Disney for the afternoon. The rest of the weekend we enjoyed an awesome weekend hanging out by the pool and dying some easter eggs for the Easter Bunny to find!!

Gym Time

We have been going to the gym for two weeks now. Just adding it into out routine is what we HAVE to do and ARE doing! I usually get their first as Anthony does not get out of work until about 6 or so. They do have awesome classes that are included with your membership and they are Les Mills classes. So all the instructors go to his training seminars to learn the moves and get certified as a "Les Mills Trainer". So far I have taken  and . I really like the combat class and have gone twice already.  Next week I am going to go to the Body Jams class. The gym we are going to is located at Celebration Health and the staff is really nice! It is and awesome facility and super clean! Other bonuses are that some of my friends go their from Gaylord so that is nice to run into and or work out with friends! Also, this week a girl in my office and I were talking and she told me she goes their as well. Over all the gym experience has been awesome so far!

Spring Time

I changed the colors of the blog, I wanted something new and fresh for the spring! Knowing that I have not been posting as frequently as I would like to...I am going to make some time once a week to post something! Easter weekend was awesome, Amy, Jim, Abby, Becca, Gavin and my mom were in town for not only Easter, but for my bridal shower and then after the weekend went over to spend a few days visiting my Uncle Don.

The bridal shower was wonderful and it was great to see some friends that I had not seen in a while! The whole weekend was just awesome! On the side are pictures my sister took from the shower and of the kids while they were visiting.

We are excited because we are going to NY in a few weeks to visit! My sister Amy found an awesome price on flights so we could not pass it up, and the weekend of the 28th just happens to be Abby and Becca's 7th Birthday weekend! So that will be alot of fun to go home to help celebrate! I have never been to one of their birthdays yet since they were born! I moved to Florida 4 months before their 1st birthday! So it will be special to beable to join in the fun!

Wedding dress is in and I picked it up! Actually the day I picked it up I got into a "fender bender", I was at a red light and a guy hit me. At any rate, I am fine. My car is currently in the shop and will be for two weeks getting fixed! I got an awesome rental, 2010 Mazda 3! It is fun to drive!

Two weeks ago Anthony and I joined a gym...so we have been going daily after work, making it a new routine. Meleny (Anthony's sister) is a nurse at Celebration Hospital and they have a full gym on site. It is open to the public and they were having a special for friends and family to join, we could not pass it up. So we have been going and I even went to some of the classes they had, BodyStep and BodyCombat. So far so good!

Well I think that is about if for now! Keep checking back, I really will be updating more!

Wow am I a slacker?

Well what can I say...am I a slacker?? I feel like one, not only have I not updated this blog or my Diva's Dishes blog...well since mid January thing have just been so busy! We had a House warming party mid Jan. which was so much fun and Thank you everyone for coming...Thank you notes are on the way!!! 

Right after the party work has just been basically non stop! So I feel like I have had no time to get anything done. Even around the house! Today I cleaned and tried to get some stuff done before the next group starts!! I just finished a group that was 2 weeks long and it was the second year working with the client, last year I "shadowed" the group, my co-worker is going to retire, so they wanted to "groom" me for the group, so this year was my turn...It went really well. It is the "biggest" group to date that I have done, 25,000 people during the 3 days it was open. I was pretty happy that everything went well and the client went home happy! 

Anthony has also been busy with work, his father got a white German Shepard from Meleny. (Anthony's sister) and so he goes over to his parents to help train Everest. Everest is scared of Anthony and Anthony's dad says he listens better to Anthony then to him!! lol!!

Our neighborhood is growing, they are building 3 houses at the same time, right next to ours...so it is busy and loud!!! But, we are excited for the houses to be built and to get more neighbors!

I finally bought my wedding dress, a few weeks ago, and Meleny and Amy have their bridesmaids dresses picked out so everything for the wedding so coming together. It is coming quickly!!!

Well that is about all that has been happening, I will be trying to schedule some blog time in the coming weeks...sorry I am such a slacker! Hope all is well and talk to you soon! 

UFC Fight Night!!

On the 27th after Christmas we had the UFC Fight night at our house! What went from inviting Meleny and Jose over turned into "oh yeah and call this person"... I made some yummy food and this was our first "offical" get together in the house so it was fun!! Rampage won so we were excited!  My friend from college Jon was in town with is GF so they came by as well!!  Thanks everyone for coming over we had a great time!!

Well it has been a busy last two weeks, I had a group in house and I was working from early AM until early evenings...therefore our holiday decorating has yet to begin. So tomorrow after work we are putting up the tree and decorations. More to come...

Calling my mom...

       If there is one thing I do just about everyday...that would be talking on the phone with my mom.  (That is Judy Knewasser) Even just to say Hi. But there are two things that we talk about on the phone that just cracks me up and I want to share!!

        I have lived in Orlando for 6 years and this still does not get old, I LOVE to call my mom when it is starting to get cold NY, and then I tell my mom that it is really cold here, maybe 40 or 50, and then my mom says something like, " Yeah ok it is 20 below here" Ha ha that just makes me laugh!! Then I will say yeah I am wearing shorts and a tee shirt...lol!! It is funny! 

        Now there is a new thing that drives her crazy when I call...the price of gas!! I always try to find the cheapest gas price between my house and work. Recently gas has gone down a lot near me, last night I called her and I told her I needed to fill up and I was trying to get to the Hess to fill up at $1.95, she said stop bragging about the price of gas by you, gas in NY is $2.5o something. I hung up with her, and filled my tank. I drive the rest of the way home and I get to the Race track that is right by my house and it was a penny less....$1.94...Called mom back, I said, "Mom, guess what it is a penny cheaper by my house!!" She was not amused! 

I called mom today on my way home from work...I forgot to mention that gas by my house tonight was $1.91...lol!! I will call her tomorrow!!

Crazy 2 weeks!

 Wow! What a crazy two weeks it has been! The move in has been great so far. And, on Sunday I am off from work and will upload some pictures...I promise! It has just been a crazy two weeks! We bought a lawn mower and on Sunday Anthony put it together and mowed our lawn! A family friend put up our garage door opener so that was very cool, growing up we did not have a garage...just because of where we lived...we just did not have a garage. So to have a door that opens automatically is pretty cool!! We are not parked in their yet, cause we still have boxes out there to unpack. We are really enjoying living in the house and getting used to everything! 

                 I am of course back to work, working on IAAPA which is one of the best shows that we have that comes in I think all year, it has amusement park rides, and games and different things that the parks and carnivals have...the clients are very nice, it is long hours but fun at the same time! After that show ending on the 23rd I will have about 6 days off over Thanksgiving so that is great! 

                Anthony is busy at work as well!! Even with the economy the way it is, people are still traveling to Orlando and that is good for us! In a meeting this week at work they said other cities are having a hard time due to the drop off of people coming in and staying in the town, but that Orlando is actually maintaining and that is really great for Orlando and our industry! More to come on Sunday...until then have a great rest of the week!  

We are homeowners!!

YAY!! We closed on Wed. it was a long day! We were there at Noon, and some guy fron Osceola County went to lunch and did not sign a paper and send it over so they could not give us the keys, KB Home gave us a gift card to a Darden Restaurant so we ended up going to Olive Garden to lunch...then it was making its way to 4pm and we were getting annoyed!! But, finally we got the keys and we were on our way.  Yesterday was moving day it went really well.  We started at 9am and we were all unloaded at the house by 2:30ish...so we were happy. 

          We had a few issues with a ceiling fan so I was at Home Depot for 2 hours and came home around 9pm...let's just tell you that I ended up leaving with the store model due to all the issues!! 

By 11:30pm we went back to Anthony's parents to sleep since our bed was not together yet...This morning I was up at 7am starting to unpack the kitchen, Anthony works a double today so I will be unpacking what I can while he is at work. 

            Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes and Thanks for reading our blog. We are so excited to  venture into home ownership!! Everyone is welcome to come by when you can and we will let you know when the house warming is! I will put up pictures when I can find the cord to upload these pictures!!  

Count down to Closing!

Yesterday we had our house "Orientation" walk though at 3pm. Jenn is the KB Representative that took us around the inside and outside of the house. We were explained what everything outside did and how to shut off the water, we opened every window, door, cabinet, looked in every nook and cranny. So there we are going though the house blue taping every imperfection that we see in the paint, drywall or anything that did not look perfect.
They finally fixed the "U-shape" pipe next to our drive way...not sure if i wrote about that already, they put in this pipe for the irrigation and it was like 3 inches from the driveway, so if you open the car door it WILL hit the pipes and our house was the ONLY house in the neighborhood with it that close, I was freaking out!! But, Mike our KB Foreman said they would move it, 2 weeks later it is moved and it is way over in the middle by our neighbors pipes!! YAY!!!
Even with all of our tape marks Mike from KB said we are still good to close on Wed. the 29th. He said it is all fixable very fast and we will be good for next week. So we have our final walk though scheduled for Tuesday the 28th at 4pm.
The house is really looking great and we are also starting to schedule appointments for installation, such as our fridge and microwave. I just set up the appointment for Bright House to come and hook up our Cable and Internet!! We can not wait!!! Wish us luck that in the next week all is good and we can indeed close on the 29th!!

Amanda bought her house in Upstate NY and Daniela just closed on her house yesterday in the MD/DC area!! Love you girls!

Update on the house!

Finally have a minute to up load these pictures and show everyone where we are at...since these pictures they have painted the garage door and front door...those will be the next ones I load up...  This last month has been just crazy as far as work and life in general, it is slowing down which is wonderful!  Thursday the 23rd we have a walk though of the house to point out things that may need to be touched up and so on, we are scheduled for closing on the 29th!! I was able to rack up some days off from work so I am going to be taking a week off from work for moving and unpacking which is very nice that it worked out that way. I know when our friends Kristi and Tony moved into their house they were unpacking boxes everyday after work for a while!! 

We did go yesterday and buy our refrigerator and over the range microwave. So that is taken care of and one more thing to check off the list!!
